Transnational Learning Journey concluded, but how did we get until here? Right after the kick-off-meeting of the Brussels, that took place at the end of September 2019, LCA4Regions already took its first local steps. Partners organised regional meetings around Europe to disseminate the project and build stakeholders' groups interested in joining the project and contributing to LCA4Regions mission.

In the past months each involved region started to develop its own regional analysis and organised events on its territory to engage regional stakeholders in the project's thematic workshops.  Policy makers, public authorities, research institutions but also SMEs and NGOs in the seven regions heard about the us!

While in Portugal the urgency and the need to overcome specific barriers for the implementation of LC methods was examinated, the Spanish audience got to know a practical case of LC concerning the design of packaging. In Lodskie region, the project has been discussed together with a broader context of the circular economy, while in Satakunta Pyhäjärvi Institute and KTU organised some seminars.

The Government of Navarra (Spain) was the first one to present the project to the public in October, where they invited Ion Ajuriagoxeascoa Murillo (Gerente Valsay) to present a practical case of LC concerning the design of packaging.
On 8th November 2019, the first Baixo Alentejo regional stakeholders meeting and the first LCA4Regions regional dissemination event took place at CIMBAL´s headquarters, where a significant number of stakeholders discussed the urgency and the need to overcome specific barriers for the implementation of LC methods.
The Lodskie Region (Poland), later on, in November, had the opportunity to present and discuss the project together with a broader context of the circular economy from the regional perspective. Stakeholders has been encouraged in cooperating for the regional analysis. In the same period, LCA4Regions got local also in Satakunta (Finland) during "Preparedness for the effects of climate change within bioeconomy", a seminar presented by Pyhäjärvi Institute. In that occasion, the scope of the project has been presented in the context of regional policies.
The LCA4Regions project has been disseminated during the LIFE event organised on 28 and 29 November 2019, in Vilnius (Lithuania), where KTU (Kaunas University of Technology) presented an expert seminar on “Indicators to measure improvements in chemicals management”, where LCA was claimed to offer an integrative assessment of a process.
During the Transnational Learning Journey, each region briefly presented the outcomes of all these local dissemination events.
Every semester more of these events are taking place in the 7 regions.
