Join the Policy Learning Platform for a webinar on developing integrated low-carbon strategies on 27 October, from 14:00 to 15:30 CET

What to expect

Strategy development is essential for the low-carbon transition, providing a plan by which to achieve long-term goals of decarbonisation. We must take account of the current situation: the desired goal and destination, what resources are available, what resources are needed, what barriers and conflicts of interest there are, and what actions are needed to meet the goals and overcome barriers.

However, many public authorities develop their strategies for low-carbon development in a siloed manner, neglecting the interplay between strategies and the need for collaboration between multiple horizontal departments and vertical levels of governance.

Harmonisation of plans can bring several benefits, including the creation of a common vision, more efficient use of resources, development of common indicators and monitoring activities, and management of joint communication and stakeholder engagement activities.

This webinar will explore practices identified by Interreg Europe projects for cross-sector and multi-level strategies.
