This year Interreg Europe nominated HoCare, SHARE and CISMOB projects for the RegioStars Awards 2019.
The objective of the RegioStars Awards is to identify good practices in regional development and highlight original and innovative projects which could be attractive and inspiring to other regions. CISMOB is a candidate for the ‘promoting digital transformation’ category. HoCare is competing in ‘modernising health services’ and SHARE is battling for the ‘building climate-resilient cities’ title.
This year's RegioStars award ceremony will take place in October during the 2019 European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels.
About HoCare
HoCare is tackling challenges posed by an aging population by attempting to unlock the great potential of innovative solutions in home care. How will they do this? By using a new cooperation model - the quadruple helix approach – and strengthening the cooperation of actors in regional innovation systems. In this model, government, industry, academia and civilians cooperate to innovate. This project brings together eight partners from different countries across Europe.

About SHARE
SHARE is working to identify best practices and innovative methods to develop sustainable and smart ways of managing cultural heritage in urban areas. Together, the project partners are looking for common solutions to relieve urban, cultural heritage from the pressures of visitors and residents alike and keep the cultural assets and the territory around them protected, enhanced and accessible to all. The project partners represent a variety of public bodies, agencies and academic centres coming from 7 countries across Europe dealing with cultural heritage and smart cities policies.

About CISMOB
CISMOB promotes using information and communication technology to make using transport systems more efficient in order to reduce carbon footprint and increase the sustainability of urban areas. Their main challenges? Convincing policymakers to take advantage of these new technologies when designing their policies. By promoting information and communication technology as a tool for sustainability, CISMOB has helped bring technology to remote areas and contributed to smart digital growth. This project brings together six partners from four different countries across Europe.
