2019 might be ending soon, but we are already looking towards the future. Earlier this month, on 11 December, we had our first programming committee meeting. Representatives of our 30 Partner States came together in Helsinki (Finland) to launch the discussions on what the post-2020 future will hold for Interreg Europe.
In other words, the preparation of the next Interreg Europe programme has started. The programming committee members kicked off the discussion by sharing their thoughts on the core features of the 2021-2027 Interreg Europe. These initial talks set the basis for further programming that will advance in parallel with the EU-level negotiations on the budgetary and regulatory framework.
The work will continue during 2020. While we keep supporting the 258 projects running within the current programme, the programming of the post-2020 future will intensify over the course of the year. So, stay tuned for updates!
