Just a few weeks into the New Year (and a new decade), we take a look at what’s coming next in 2020.
Happy birthday Interreg!
Interreg programmes are turning 30 and celebrations will be happening all year to mark this unique form of cooperation.
You can expect to see us at many EU events this year – from EU Regions Week and EU Green Week to EU Sustainable Energy Week and the Covenant of Mayor’s Investment Forum – talking about the added value of interregional cooperation.
Continued support for our projects
Our tireless efforts to help and support our existing 258 projects never stops!
And on the road to excellence, we will be organising:
- Seminars on finance, activities and communication for our 4th call projects this January in Budapest, Hungary
- A webinar about financial reporting on 13 February
- A webinar on action plans in September
Showing off our results
2019 may have been a year of results, but you should expect many more to come your way in 2020.
The stories we told in our web documentary were only the beginning. This year, we will be showing off more of our projects’ success stories at our annual event, Europe, let’s cooperate, on 9 June in Dubrovnik.
Have a look at our results page for regular updates.
Preparing for the future
The next programming period is coming soon and for us the future is looking bright!
We held our first programming committee on 11 December in Helsinki, Finland, where people shared their initial thoughts on the core features of the 2021-2027 Interreg Europe.
Discussions for the post-2020 future will intensify this year, so stay tuned!
The Policy Learning Platform
The Platform will be going on the road this year to bring its services to the regions. They will also be hosting a policy learning day, and continue to organise thematic workshops and webinars, matchmaking sessions and peer reviews.
2020 is looking to be a fabulous year!
