On 17 November, the Policy Learning Platform is hosting an online discussion on how to 'retool' economic development and the cultural sector after COVID-19.
Key speaker, Barbara Stacher from the European Commission, DG Education and Culture will give insights into future funding for EU cultural and create sectors.
Her presentation will be followed by inspiring examples from four different Interreg Europe representatives:
- Lennard Drogendijk from Inqubator Leeuwarden (ECoC-SME) will present the good practice: 'Get ready for the Launch (game)'.
- Osvaldas Stripeikis from VMU Centre for Enterprise Practices (ECoC-SME) will present: 'Developing creative thinking and entrepreneurial skills through a sustainable model of community integration'.
- Christina Koch from AWS Austria (RCIA) will present the good practice: 'Comeback grant for film and TV covering costs for productions that are facing shut-down or delay due to COVID-19'.
- Josean Urdangarin from the Regional Government of the Basque Country (CREADIS3) will speak about: 'Observatory of the covid-19 crisis in the cultural sector: how to guide decision-making from data'.
The online discussion is on invitation only. Key learnings will be made available afterwards, in a follow-up article.
