Join the Policy Learning Platform for a webinar on Digital Innovation Ecosystems on 25 February from 10:30 to 12:00 CET.
The development of Digital Innovation Ecosystems at the regional level provides one of the necessary responses to the EU’s strategic goals namely to improve Europe's competitiveness in the global digital economy and achieve technological sovereignty. Digital transformation is also one of key enabling conditions of the emerging S3 strategies for the 2021-2027 period and is thus a major priority for regional authorities.
It is also a transversal and cross cutting theme with relevance for many areas in relation to innovation and research but also supporting the uptake of innovation by SMEs. Digital policy initiatives coupled with investments in digital infrastructures/resources will thus play an important part in accelerating the innovation process and leading to economic growth.
Meanwhile the EU’s Digital Europe programme will boost investments in key TIC domains and secure synergies with key initiatives such as Digital Innovation Hubs and Horizon Europe and the Structural Funds. Together these investments will drive high quality public services benefiting both businesses and citizens.
Because of its relevance, the Policy Learning Platform is organising this webinar to further explore the benefits of Digital Innovation Ecosystems.
