Ensuring sustainable alternative energy sources for public institutions.

The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of life, sustainable development, competitive and sustainable criteria of Alba Iulia Municipality through diversification of production, technology and infrastructure for electricity production from renewable resources (solar energy), reducing local emissions of CO2, in accordance with agreements and strategic priorities assumed by Romania in relation to the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change and the European Union.
Ensuring sustainable energy for four public institutions: Technical College "Dorin Pavel", Home for the Elderly, Day Centre for the Elderly, Programs Directorate, through the production of electricity using solar potential local trapped due to installation, operational and interconnection with the National Energy system (NES) of 1714 photovoltaic panels with an installed power of 257 kW aggregate
Reducing CO2 emissions in Alba Iulia more than 500 tons or 12,500 tons in 25 years of operation of the solar park installed by this project.

The GP can be replied in the first place by Alba Iulia Municipality on other public buildings and in the second place by other local authorities in order to reduce local emissions of CO2.
