During the festival, street was temporarly closed for cars and open for pedestrians and local activities.
Festival took place in the Praga district, on the Zabkowska street during 7 weekends in spring and summer of 2016 as well as in 2015. During the festival, the street was temporarily closed for car traffic. With nearby squares and corners it became a city stage for different and diverse artistic events and inclusive activities for inhabitants. Festival was part of a revitalization of Praga – one of the most neglected district in Warsaw.

Resources needed

It required close cooperation with the city authorities, cultural institutions and private sectos. The cost of implementing project was dissipated around different stakeholders.

Evidence of success

Comprehensive project related to sustainable mobility and revitalization.
It encouraged inhabitants not only to take part in events but it included them in organization process.

It is an example of a boost of the potential of an area with the close cooperation of different actors and stakeholders.
