Last 23rd June, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Council unanimously approved the Guidelines for the development of public-private partnerships in energy efficiency interventions in public buildings, as an addendum to the Regional Energy Plan (REP), as a part of S3UNICA Action Plan.

The S3UNICA Action Plan from the three Italian partners, Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, University of Udine and University of Trieste consists of two main activities, namely

  • the creation of a table of experts that will help activate, through a quadruple helix approach, new and innovative public-private partnerships (PPPs) in the FVG region in order to improve energy efficiency in buildings
  • the adoption of a a set of guidelines to foster a consistent knowledge and use of PPPs by public administrations, in order to boost energy efficiency in public buildings (starting from university campuses) or/and to increase the use of renewable energy sources.

Following the three meetings of the experts, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region together with the University of Udine and the University of Trieste, drafted the Guidelines, which were presented to the Council at the end of the month and unanimously approved.

The Guidelines are available in Italian on the official webpage of Friuli Venezia Giulia: http://mtom.regione.fvg.it/storage//2023_955/Allegato%201%20alla%20Delibera%20955-2023.pdfhttp://mtom.regione.fvg.it/storage//2023_955/Allegato%201%20alla%20Delibera%20955-2023.pdf
