SET-UP Study visit : Kergrid | Interreg Europe

On the occasion of the project kick-off meeting that took place in Rennes in April 2016, the SET-UP partners visited France’s first smart grid-ready office building, named Kergrid.

Located in Vannes, this smart building is equipped with a power management system that controls the flow of energy between the energy distribution grid, local energy production (solar panels, wind power), energy storage in batteries, the charging of electric vehicles, and building consumption.

Partners participated in a guided tour and had the opportunity to share their views and get a full insight into the potential of the demonstrator.
