During SHARE’s bonus year, 2021-22, partners conducted case studies to learn about COVID-era adaptations made by cultural heritage sites and events. Informed by these studies from around Europe, and by practitioner and academic input, advisory partner Prof. Andres Coca-Stefaniak of the University of Greenwich prepared a summary of policy recommendations.
With tourism flows and international travel returning to pre-pandemic levels, now is the time for authorities responsible for tourism and cultural heritage policies, and for anyone interested in adding resilience into destination management, to study and apply the practical suggestions proposed in the document.
