Stakeholders in the Umbria Region and expert in sustainability policy Andy Fryers met in Perugia on 22 September 2017 for a focus group to identify local good practices in cultural heritage management. Representatives from the Umbria Region and the five cities affected by the Regional policy instrument - the Urban Agenda - brainstormed about what each city might put forward as a good practice and areas in which they might adopt good practices to their own context.

The following day, Fryers visited one of the Urban Agenda cities, Città di Castello, touring several local examples of urban rehabilitation, including the Burri Collection. Located in a repurposed historic building, the collection features paintings by a famous native son, Alberto Burri.

Fryers is the external expert for Lead Partner Sviluppumbria, and has met personally with officials from Umbrian municipalities in order to study each local government's priorities and plans. His work will contribute to shaping the Action Plan for Umbria.
