SHARE lead partner Sviluppumbria is participating in European Green Week with an event entitled New routes for sustainable tourism.
Sviluppumbria deepens its commitment to sustainability by signing a memorandum of understanding with mayors of 6 municipalities to extend the bridle trail section of the St. Francis Way. This historic pilgrimage route, a landmark in sustainable slow tourism, already welcomes equestrian visitors on a section from Gubbio to Valfabbrica and Nocera Umbra to Assisi, ensuring that riders find services along the way to rest and water their mounts, seek veterinary care or replace a horseshoe if needed. The signing ceremony opens the work to extend the route through Foligno, Spello, Pietralunga, Campello sul Clitunno, Trevi and Spoleto.
