The SHARE partnership met on 10-11 December for the last time in Phase 1, hosted by the City of Šibenik. Advisory Partner University of Greenwich provided guidelines and led a discussion on evidence-based monitoring of action plan impacts on local policies.
The group followed a new sustainable tourism itinerary inspired by SHARE’s interregional exchange activities, “Šibenik Dark Side”. The itinerary, developed by the city and an association of licensed tour guides, takes visitors strolling to a handful of locations around the historic centre. At each stop, lively characters in period costume recount episodes of the town’s history, including why some residents have curious or amusing surnames, how cats and dogs reveal that someone is really a vampire, and why no one in Šibenik marries in May.
