The ZEN project, Zero Impact Cultural Heritage Event Network, a project financed under the Interreg IVC programme, ran from 2012 to 2014 and was led by Sviluppumbria.

Although the project concluded nearly five years ago, its work lives on. The lessons of the ZEN project are being used as part of a training course about the regulations of Green Public Procurement (GPP) and on the application of the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) in public procurement. Particular attention will be placed on how the ZEN project made it possible to identify a common methodology to reduce the impact of events that attract large audiences, both on the cultural heritage in urban settings and on the environment.

The training course, held over two days, is offered by the Umbrian School for Public Administration.
