An extensive process to change the policy document in Kalmar County, Sweden has started. The policy document addressed is the action plan for the environmental objective of Kalmar County. Energy Agency for southeast Sweden is participating in the discussions together with other stakeholders to improve and update the policy document. The learnings and experiences from the SUPPORT- project is highlighted and suggested to be included in the policy document.

The process, coordinated by the Administrative Board of Kalmar County, is divided in different thematic workshops whereof energy efficiency in buildings is included in several topics, i.e. “climate”, and “good build environment”. Due to the pandemic the workshops are online which is limiting the discussions slightly however admits a wider participation of stakeholders representing the public sector, SME:s, academy and regional organisations.
