The process of improving the policy document “Action plan for regional environmental objectives in the county of Kalmar 2014-2020” started early this year. The new version of the policy document for 2021-2027 has a number of proposals of improvements. They have been collected from the stakeholders in the region. Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden has contributed with several recommendations as a result of the SUPPORT project. For example; an overall capacity raising actions for energy efficiency and renewable in buildings, an improved governance in the municipalities regarding the process of building permit to ensure energy efficient solutions are prioritized and to introduce and permanent a value-raising property management as a model in the municipalities.
The Kalmar County Administrative Board, who is the owner of the policy document, has processed the input from the wide range of stakeholders and it is now sent out for open consultation.
