The focus group sessions as well as the discussions that followed each presentation showed that each country has some challenges to overcome in terms of the themes approached, nevertheless the examples presented helped the other stakeholders to adopt approaches proven to be solutions from other countries.
In what the Action Plan development is concerned here are some of the conclusions:
- it would be beneficial to have a common methodology for data collection and systematization;
- It is important to define responsibilities for measures/indicators. These responsible persons would collect results sending them to responsible institutions;
- There is a need for statistical data for public buildings;
- There is a need for a reliable (possibly free) software to collect data which then to be shared with local administrations;
- SEAPs could represent a starting point; here available funds are already identified; they should only be promoted to the stakeholders;
- Involvement of stakeholders in the elaboration of the AP (professional associations, consultants for EU funding, industry, transport companies) possibly creating an open platform for proposals;
- Involvement of clusters and networks can be a quicker and easier way to identify the needs for energy efficiency improvement;
It is important to inform and support citizens for energy savings in their activities.
