The SYMBI project Final Conference: "Meet european regional strategies for sustainable development trough industrial symbiosis" was organised on-line, on the 10th of december 2020, with the purpose of sharing how interregional cooperation helped partners to improve policy instruments to align regional policies with the EU Circular Economy strategy to transform Europe into a more resource-efficient economy.
The event, addressed to regional authorities and all EU stakeholders interested in Industrial Symbiosis, counted on the interest by 115 people who registered on-line, although 71 attended in the end.
Mr. Richard Tuffs, our moderator, guided us through the agenda composed by three main sections: an introduction from Interreg Europe Joint Secretariat to open the event, interesting case studies from some of the participating regions (Molise - IT, Andalucia- ES, Slovenia, Hame - FI and Extremadura - ES) where partners had the opportunity to present the impact of project activities in their regional policies, and finally, we counted on examples from other EU projects on Industrial Symbiosis, SCALER, CircLean Network and INCUBIS.
The conference ended with the participation of the audience through an interesting discussion.
