Our Lead partner, Fundecyt-Pctex together with the Enterprise Europe Network is organising the 1st Green Disruption Summit, which will be held on June 17 at Palacio de Congresos in Mérida (Spain).

The Green Disruption Summit is aimed at research and technology development centres, industrial, service and technology-based companies, investors and public authorities. This European event has the objective of communicating, raising awareness and providing networking opportunities.

The Summit is also a space for reflection and analysis, awareness raising and open innovation, where the global and local technological and business challenges associated with a change of production model and the transition to a model based on environmental sustainability will be presented.

The event will feature a number of presentations with the participation of international experts and it will showcase examples of companies from around the world that are committed to the Paris Agreement, which sets out measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The event programme also includes the management of sustainable development and innovation in cities, green disruption in startups and connecting startups with investors.

The Green Disruption Summit will serve to showcase and inspire disruptive solutions aligned with the EU Green Deal that lead to a radical change in the way we feed ourselves, move, generate energy and produce goods and services. The goal is to seek new science and technology-based solutions that facilitate this paradigm shift and to foster the development of green technologies through businesses and entrepreneurs.

The event will have a combined face-to-face and virtual format and those wishing to participate can now register free of charge at http://greendisruptionsummit.com

OPPORTUNITY

The Green Disruption Summit will also open a call for proposals for startups offering disruptive and innovative solutions to major challenges in energy, transport and mobility, and agri-food. The rules for participation and all the information can be found on the event website.

Startups will have the opportunity to present their solutions to international investors, heads of public institutions, industry professionals, the specialised media and opinion leaders, and the 5 best proposals will be selected by an expert jury. Throughout the event there will be a Demo Zone for the best startups and the most innovative practices. A B2B tool will also be available to facilitate the organisation of business meetings with investors.

The Green Disruption Summit is being held in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), the world’s largest business network, with a presence in over 60 countries to support innovation and the internationalisation of SMEs. FUNDECYT-PCTEx is an EEN hub in Extremadura.
