During the workshop “Circular Economy and the new entrepreneurial and social revolution” invited panelists from different UE regions discussed the innovative means of supporting the transition to circular economy. Prof. Jerzy Hausner from The Cracow University of Economics representing the Malopolska Region during his presentation has mentioned the key role of efficient resources economy followed by multiple examples the EU countries.
The role of the industry in moving towards circular economy was carried out by
the CEO of Movilex Recycling Group from another SYMBI partner region – Extremadura.
Mr Igor Kos from the Municipality of Maribor as a Slovenian stakeholder of SVRK presented the affords made by WCYCLE Institute in making Maribor a circular city by waste, material, energy and water integrated management.
