Project’s consortium gathered for First Mid-Term Phase Event and Fourth Interregional Learning Event in Szeged, Csongrád County in Hungary. 

Event that was hosted by Hungarian partners ELI-HU Research and Development Non-Profit Ltd and County Government of Csongrád happened between October 2 – 4. 2017. Host partners organised Mid Term Phase 1 Event that included local target groups from students, entrepreneurs and people working in the field of innovation. With this TRINNO Project got the opportunity to get linked with targeted audience, to get an in-depth overview on Hungary and Szeged region innovative environment and to address topics of digitalisation, its challenges and future technologies in Csongrád County. From first year Project has upgraded its pace from collecting and presenting »Business support ecosystem report« to digital innovation concept which is linked to the business ecosystem one, but also to the policy framework in which effective digital innovation support services can be offered. Both mentioned were also a red line of this important event and meeting in Hungary.

It was a great honour to hear from Professor Dr. László Kállay from Corvinus University of Budapest, Service Department Manager of PC Trade Systems Ltd – Gábor Szegvári, Eszter Körmöczy - Chamber of Commerce and Industy of Csongrád County, Enterprise Europe Network-Szeged regional manager and József Török from Széchenyi Venture Capital Fund. The event also hosted two international guests: David Martínez, Barcelona City Council urban advisor, who presented Barcelona 22@, an innovative district offering modern spaces for the strategic concentration of intensive knowledge-based activities, and Aurelio Jiménez Romero, Lead Partner of the Interreg Europe project Innova Foster, who shared experience on fostering policies for business development ecosystems.

Second part - Fourth Interregional Learning Event was based on participative sessions and a study visit. The Event took a step forward towards interregional exchange on business support services to link digital innovation to the local economy. During the second day we had the opportunity to hear innovation stories from Sándor Nagy – Vice Mayor of Szeged, Dr. Tibor Csendes – Professor of the University of Szeged, Institute of Inofrmatics, Dr. Péter Mogyorósi – Creative Accelerator Ltd. and József Engi, base manager from Nemeskert Ltd. Partners’ consortium focused on Action Plan development with concrete ideas for Policy Improvements, through a series of presentations, participative sessions and study visit of unique research infrastructure of ELI-ALPS Kutatóközpont, with a focus on the use of high technology in the local / regional economy.

But this Event had a greater added value to the Project, with Dream Action Plans Partners learned from each other about good practices from 5 countries and different regions, they discussed about potential investments for micro companies, ways for advanced networking among different sectors, industries and entrepreneurs, ways to incorporate digital innovations into traditional sectors and ways to attract national governments for investments - to expand the DREAM INTO REALITY. The Partners Consortium is convicted to make an impact on the local communities with the help of TRINNO project and to make important steps towards better present and future conditions for all generations.

Project consortium will next gather for Fifth Interregional meeting in Slovenia - April 2018, where meeting will be hosted by the Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia.
