Project Playpark Brno aims to help beginning entrepreneurs build a sustainable entrepreneurial project from the early stages of a business idea.
Thanks to cooperation with "Business it!" the attendees work with professional entrepreneurs who help them transform their ideas into functional business cases and then practically validate their idea’s potential with the market. Workshops delivered by businessmen having practical experience in running their own companies. While some of them deal with practical aspects of running a project or a company, others go through the process of building a business project from an idea:
8 workshops are aimed at:
1. Entrepreneurial mindset
2. Minimum viable product and lean canvas
3. Validation of the problem and advisors
4. Validation of the solution and finances
5. Discussion, reflection and presentation
6. Dragon's den and feedback from skilled entrepreneur
7. Self-reflection, mentors and creating actionable steps from feedback
8. Early-stage business law and the next steps after the course
+ Other workshops related to a variety of business topics.
After the course, the most promising projects are chosen to participate in an international startup competitions.
At the end of each of the course, Playpark Brno team gathers feedback from the partners and the students in order to keep the methodology updated and improved to meet the needs of early-stage entrepreneur and non-entrepreneurs.

Resources needed

Human resources: lectures (entrepreneurs), creator of the methodology, project managers, evaluation committee experts and marketing experts.
Other resources: Masaryk university - partner of the project.
Financial resources: For the first 2 years EU grant CERIecon (Interreg Central Europe).

Evidence of success

The biggest success in the context of the goals of Playpark Brno is that around 90% of the students take practical steps in building their idea after the course ends. Most of them stay in touch with each other or join the Business Club community where they regularly meet and connect with experts, advisors, and investors from various business fields.

Difficulties encountered

Support of entrepreneurial thinking, early-stage entrepreneurs, and non-entrepreneurs is not a regional issue. It is an issue with global reach that is in need of addressing. It is important to present entrepreneurialism to people at all stages, not only students.

Potential for learning or transfer

We think this type of the project and activities is highly interesting and transferable for another countries and regions. A partnership of 7 Central European countries on CERlecon grant project make an evidence of this claim.
