The Region of Crete has proposed three actions related to the promotion of the touristic product throughout the whole island of Crete. The first one concerns “Tourism cluster policy in Crete”, the second one “Exhibition for tourism innovation in Crete” and the third one “Public-Private cooperation in traditional building of Crete”.
Thus, through several other European projects which Region of Crete implements, we have managed to combine different sectors of tourism, such as Cretan Diet and Cretan Culture, in order to promote the best way the Cretan touristic product.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic of coronavirus disease, all the above mentioned actions of the RoC action plan are in the planning and designing stage. The human resources of the Region of Crete as well as the financial ones have been oriented towards the confrontation and the prevention of the spread of the pandemic of coronavirus disease. We hope, in the next months, we will be able to complete the planning of these actions.
