The circular economy hackathon is organised by CECI lead partner LAB University of Applied Sciences and CECI project partner Päijät-Hämeen liitto.
The first part of the hackathon was 8.4.2021 at 15:00-16:00 with speaker Aleksi Neuvosen (Demos Helsinki) who spoke about possibilities of sharing economy in the present and in the future. Aleksi Neuvonen gave insight to good practices of sharing economy companies in Finland like Lovia, who design handbags with leftover leather pieces. Skipperi who helps rent a boat directly from the owner for a long or short boat adventure loans boats from owners. Vaaterekki members share clothing in a shared clothing library. Liiteri sharing economy platform, where users can rent tools.
The second part of the hackathon continues as a workshop 20.4.2021 at 9:00-12:30, focused on building practical business models to match the growing need of current sharing economy practices. The workshop will be in Finnish and facilitated by Demos Helsinki.
