Action Plan And Project News From Ostrava
Ostrava partner MSIC selected three topics for their action plan, according to the policy instrument: Operational Programme Environment 2021 – 2027 and Just Transition Fund (JTF) Operational Program.
They have a draft of the action plan, including the next steps that will be discussed on the stakeholder group on the 30 of June. Ostrava chose three main topics. The first one is focused on re-use in the form of a recycling center: reduce and sharing things. The second one is about circular scans / climatic vouchers. The final one is a roadshow for municipalities. Two of these actions are currently in the pilot phase.
Just transition fund (JTF) is one of the three funds available for regions in transition. The Moravian-Silesian Region can use this fund to finance transformation to a flourishing post-mining region. The Moravian-Silesian government and relevant regional stakeholders are already working on the reservoir of different strategic and complex projects. One of the projects will be the so-called climate vouchers, which will be based on circular scans - ie on one activity within the action plan. Other strategic projects are, for example, CIRKARENA - National Competence Centre for Circular economy, POHO2030 (Postmining landscape 2030).
