Forum of Municipalities about circular economy in Aragon, Spain

Municipalities in Spain are responsible for collecting and managing household waste. Aragon, with a total population of around 1,200,000 inhabitants, is made up of 730 municipalities, mainly very small municipalities. They are the institutions closest to citizens, which can make prevention and reuse, repair and separate collection real and effective. The DG for Climate Change and Environmental Education, with its own budget, has organized a Forum of Municipalities on circular economy in Aragon. The Forum aims to be a meeting place and a channel for participation, in order to share initiatives and good practices in the circular economy through education, information and training.
