On the 9th of August, Interreg Europe funded CLEAN project partners celebrated the third and last seminar of the CLEAN Additional Activities on "Measures to improve energy efficiency of public buildings" from the city of Sundsvall in County Västernorrland (Sweden) and streamed online to all project partners and their stakeholders regardless of their presence in Västernorrland.
Sofia Mackin from Regional Council of Västernorrland, welcomed participants to the seminar and presented the agenda. Followed by our lead partner Daniela Copaci from the ERNACT network where she gave a short overview of CLEAN project, showing a short animation about the project.
The first speaker was Oskar Lindberg from Regional Council of Västernorrland, who talked about the energy-efficient and flexible ventilation solution at Sundsvall hospital. Followed by Sofia Yfanti from Hersonissos Municipality at Region of Crete (Greece) who explained how are working to lowering carbon footprint participating in different European funded projects. She said that "Saving Energy is vital to the sustainable development of local authority".
After that, Begoña Laibarra from Software Quality Systems, in behalf of CLEAN project partner Fomento San Sebastian, explained the Smart Kalea project and the implementation of Smart Kalea monitoring platform and public visualisation in San Sebastian, Basque Country (Spain).
Anne-Maarit Hyttinen, Development Manager of Tohmajärvi Municipality at North Karelia (Finland) talked about how to solve climate and energy challenges from a perspective of a modern countryside municipality. She stated, "Keep on mind the impact of the climate change on buildings and structures".
CLEAN project partner Sabrine Boudjemline from Les 7 Vents (France) shared information on Enerterre Integration Workshops and the success case of the 3SR model in Normandy and the role of solidarity in sustainable housing in their region.
Folllowed by Elena Farca from Municipality of Iași in Romania, who explained the Green City Masterplan Iași. They expect that "The renovation of buildings and the integration of energy efficiency and renewable measures in the upgraded depot will lead to energy savings of approximately 34%".
Nina Erjavec from Regional Agency Savinjska Region (RASR) in Slovenia talking about the energy rehabilitation to improve energy efficiency of public buildings in Savinjska Region.
At the end of the CLEAN seminar, Martina Di Costanzo from Agenzia Napoletana Energia e Ambiente (Italy) explained the eco energetic refurbishment of a middle school structure to be used for municipal offices. She said that "the building can be renovated into a Nearly Zero Energy Building".
