Nearly zero-energy buildings (NZEBs) are those with a very high energy performance. This kind of buildings require a low amount of energy and it usually comes from renewable sources. In this way, they are very energy efficient.
CLEAN project partners have showcased some good energy practices related to energy efficient buildings. Furthermore, some of those good practices will be taken into account when partners develop their Regional Action Plans. Some examples of NZEBs within the partnership are:
- Innovative, multifunctional solutions for optimizing primary energy consumption & indoor liveability in Campania region (Italy)
- ENERTIC Smartbuilding in the city of San Sebastian (Basque Country, Spain)
- MIC - Low energy house in Savinjska region (Slovenia)
Did you know that the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive requires all new buildings to be nearly zero-energy by the end of 2020? In this way, European Union's countries are working to develop nearly zero-energy buildings national plans.
