The second consortium meeting of the CLIPPER project was held in Turku, Southwest Finland, the base for one of the project’s partners, the Turku University of Applied Sciences.

This meeting, held on 12–13 September 2017, brought together the partners for the first time since the project kick-off meeting in February. As a result, it focused on the project’s  core activities and content.

During the meeting, there were discussions between the partners’ representatives and a presentation of the coming semesters’ roadmap.

The consortium also enjoyed a visit to the Meyer Turku Shipyard to gain first-hand experience of the process followed by the industry and the issues that Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are facing.

Local stakeholders also took part in the discussions, presented their activities and their links to the CLIPPER project. These included:

  - The Regional Council of Southwest Finland, as managing authority for the ERDF OP;

- FINPRO, a public organisation that helps Finnish SMEs go international and encourages foreign direct investment in Finland;

- The project representative for the Smart Blue Regions project, an Interreg Baltic Sea project;

- The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment for Southwest Finland.
