The first Peer Review under the COALESCCE/Community owned and led energy for security climate change and employment Project was hosted by Euro Perspectives Foundation in Sofia in the period October 23 – 26, 2017. The international team of experts was led by Oldham/Greater Manchester representatives.
The Peer Review aimed at exchange of experiences and discussion of specific regional policy instruments and approaches that promote synergies between all institutions in the field of energy efficiency and the use of RES by local communities in Bulgaria.
During the four-day visit, the team of experts from Oldham/Greater Manchester, Prahova, Abruzzo, Lake Constance, Valencia Region, Debrecen met representatives of local authorities, state institutions and businesses involved in developing and implementing energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate change strategies. Detailed information was provided by the host EPF, and meetings with: Nikola Tsankov (SEDA), Irena Petkova (RIOSV), Toni Katsarov (Ihtiman municipality), Rumiana Grigorova (Bratsigovo municipality).
