[NEWS] Flanders: 18 new e-charging infrastructure
During Summertime Flanders launched its new subsidy call regarding semipublic charging infrastructure for electric cars, 18 project were selected.
33 projects were submitted, of which a jury has now selected 18 strong projects. The Flemish minister of Energy, Zuhal Demir, will spend 950.000 euros to support these charging infrastructure projects. All together 300 new AC chargers, 58 fast chargers and 26 ultra-fast chargers will be unrolled, many of them already by the end of this year.
The biggest project is foreseen at a sport center. Other chargers will be installed nearby train stations, in underground city parkings, at the parking areas of chain stores, car dealers, restaurants, expo halls, on a housing project, and on company parkings. Also some high power charging hubs nearby motorways are scheduled. All together 119 new locations will be covered in Flanders.
All charging points will be fed by green power. The locations are all within 500 meters of households and will be available at least 10hours a day.
