27th of November 2020 - strategic consultation: on the Slovenian strategy for introducing alternative fuels into mobility
On the 27th of November 2020, Economic Interest Association Automotive Cluster of Slovenia organized an on-line strategic consultation on the Slovenian strategy for introducing alternative fuels into mobility, among others hosting the Slovenian Ministry of Infrastructure.
The on-line event hosted beside the above-mentioned Ministry of infrastructure also a University of Ljubljana, a Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Laboratory for internal combustion engines and electro-mobility; Institute of robotics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and computer science of Maribor; Porsche Slovenia; Toyota; MD Renault – Nissan Adriatic; DSO ELES and Elektro Ljubljana, the distributer of electricity.
This post presents content peeks from the presentation of Darko Trajanov, Director General, Directorate for Sustainable Mobility and Transport Policy, the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The above slide shows the influence of specific measures on the reduction of GHG emissions. The blue color shows the influence of a motor traffic activity reduction by 2050 in the CO2 equivalent. The color yellow stands for the change of the traffic structure, meaning that the increase of public transport use in comparison to currently mostly used personal means of mobility gives the least of the benefit among all other measures to the reduction of the GHG emissions. The grey shows how the increase of vehicles’ occupancy would influence a decrease in negative emissions. Orange shows how much the alternative fuel use and improving effectiveness would influence the reduction on negative emissions. The green stands for introducing biofuels and synthetic fuels to the mix and the positive influence on the GHG emissions. The thin grey line shows a projection with current policy measures and a thin purple line shows the projection with additional ambitious policy measures. According to the chart the most positively influential policy measures for the GHG emission reduction are introducing alternative fuel use and improving effectiveness.
