[NEWS] Calabria Region: Scylla promotes e-mobility

Thanks to an agreement between the Municipality of Scylla and F3 motors, Mercedes dealer in Reggio Calabria, an agreement was kicked off, enabling the installation of the first three charging stations for electric cars and hybrids, on the territory of the charming village of the strait.

The project, already undertaken by the City of Scylla with charging stations for electric bicycles, is aimed at promoting environmental protection, given the zero impact of polluting emissions from electrically- driven vehicles.

The initiative has a double value in terms of public service, as the availability of charging facilities, absent along the Calabrian coast, in the surrounding area for tens of kilometers, will be added in fact to the absolute novelty of free charging at the complete disposal of users.

The columns will be located respectively on the promenade of Marina Grande, in the central Piazza San Rocco and in the hamlet of Favazzina, will be donated by F3 Motors to the City of Scilla, which will bear the cost of electricity for recharging the cars of residents and tourists who will be able to use it freely, without subscriptions, software, apps or payment cards. A step that can boost the development of electric mobility in the region.
