Transnational event on smart mobility in public transport and last mile logistic – e-SMART

20. 10. 2021, Economic Interest Association Automotive Cluster of Slovenia organises a transnational event e-SMART, addressing smart energy provision for the electric fleet buses and last mile logistic in with a smart city digital solution.

The event will host speakers from energy sector, experts in innovative mobility technology solutions and smart city service developers and representatives from the national government.

One of the key speakers on the event will be Tomaž Račič, vice president and responsible for marketing in the LIT Transit. LIT Transit is offering real-time transit operation monitoring, transit management toolset giving real-time visibility and control over one’s entire fleet, providing flexible, responsive and reliable bus services that meet people’s everyday mobility needs. Their solutions offer arrival predictions along the route, in real-time. These data are used for strategic planning and operational decision, as well as passenger information system and mobility applications. The company is also developing APPs for the real-time travel information, with intuitive journey planning tools and the possibility to purchase tickets for intermodal service payments. LIT Transit implements Mobility as a Service (MaaS) projects globally. MaaS, which brings various modes of transport into a single mobility ecosystem, simplifies the rider experience and promotes the shift towards more sustainable travel modes. To top their services, LIT Transit is also providing for its customers a bus interchange management system, ensuring continuity of passenger flow and smooth transit between different segments of the transport system.
