The current COVID-19 pandemic situation affecting events and meetings all around the globe was closely monitored by e-MOPOLI partnership early on, following the outbreak news updates in Italy. Since the seventh e-MOPOLI Project Learning Partner Meeting had been scheduled in Calabria (IT) from 31st March to 3rd April 2020 the Steering Group decided to postpone the staff exchange and events further on, at the end of May.
The unfortunate circumstances did not affect though the coordination of project activities: on April 2nd the whole consortium was gathered via web conference to attend the Project Partner Meeting and reunite the Steering Group as planned. Focusing on the development of e-MOPOLI deliverables, the Lead Partner coordinated the upcoming deadlines according to Task Leaders needs and suggestions for the finalization of the different project outputs. Flemish Government and Region Attica presented the state of play for the Source Book of Good Practices, Recommendations and Action Plans, coordinating with the responsible partners on the following steps to finalize the documents by the scheduled deadlines.
Concerning the Interregional Learning Activities, BSC Regional Development Agency Ltd Kranj led the discussion on the necessary recovering measures to perform them while allowing the current standstill situation to settle. Although the obvious concerns about the actual possibility to organize any physical gathering with the stakeholders in the foreseeable future, the partnership agreed to carry on engaging them remotely.
Further updates on the project progress will be published in the upcoming fourth project newsletter scheduled in May: stay tuned and stay home!
