The Azorean Directorate for Energy will provide, on the 26th of March 2020, an e-leaning training session to Local Energy Managers appointed by the different entities of the Azorean Government within the framework of the ECO.AP Açores, the program for energy efficiency in the Azores public administration.
This training session builds on the work developed by the Azorean Government on distance learning, benefiting from new information and communication technologies that are especially well suited to the archipelago nature of the Azores, as well as to the current health preventive measures in place, such as teleworking.
The ECO.AP Açores program aims to improve the energy efficiency of all buildings from the regional public administration, as well as public companies, public foundations and public or private associations with a majority of public shares, including electric mobility as one of its main topics, all of which must appoint a Local Energy Manager.
The Local Energy Manager, which must be suitably qualified, is in charge of promoting knowledge regarding energy, implementing best practices, as well as using the electronic platform for energy management Barómetro ECO.AP, the tool that operationalizes the ECO.AP program.
Training sessions for Local Energy Managers have been carried out since 2018 by the Azorean Directorate for Energy in several of the Azores islands, having qualified close to 80 professionals.
