At the 13th of June the last staff exchange of the FFWD Europe project took place in Hannover, Germany. The FFWD partners from Podlaska Regional Development Foundation (Poland) and AD Normandie (France) visited the German partner NBank and learned more about the two good practices “Funding of Start-up Centers” and “Access to Finance for Start-ups: Venture capital fund NSeed”.

The eight selected Start-up Centers in Niedersachsen are providers of acceleration schemes in the pre-seed phase. They are funded for their activities by Niedersachsens Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Transport and Digitization. The Start-ups Centers are located in different city areas in the state of Niedersachsen and each is focussed on one or two specific sectors. Our group vistited VentureVilla (https://venturevilla.de/), one of the Start-up Centers, and learned about their approach, their focus on web- and software technologies, their experiences, their supported start-ups, and their opportunity to invest max. 100.000 EUR per Start-up.

The public venture fund NSeed, proceeded by NKB, a 100% daughter of NBank, invest in Start-ups located in Niedersachsen. Our group learned about the framework conditions, selection procedures, contractual commitments and experiences of NSeed from one of the investment managers. Especially the very close relationship and individual support to each of the start-ups had been highlighted.

All project partners and stakeholders will have the opportunity to ask further questions on the good practices also in September, during the next FFWD project meeting in Hannover.
