The conference by Antonella Broglia, “State of the world through 20 books” has been an explanatory example about how a global and integrated vision of the state of the world, it means: society, economy, technology, people, internet…, can allow us to innovate.
Innovate in a technological level, but involving and taking into account other complementary levels of innovation, like social innovation, among others.
This vision about the concept of Innovation also allows us to differentiate and strategically use both “evolutionary innovations” (continuous or dynamic evolutionary innovation) that are brought about by many incremental advances in technology or processes and “revolutionary innovations” (also called discontinuous innovations) which are often disruptive and new.
