Christophe Lino, from the National Sailing School, and Philippe Rodet (Sailing Bretagne) visited the Aarhus international training center, which will officially open in April.

The french delegation participated in the Yacht Racing Forum, which was hosted in Aarhus. It is the most important gathering dedicated to the Sailing competitions in the world. The conferences dealt with the security issues, which takes an ever more prominent place in the races, particularly with the spread of the "foil technologies" on the boats.

The second part of the trip was dedicated to the INKREASE project, through the study visit of the huge Aarhus start up center led by the Denmark Innovation Fund. With a size of 120,000 m2, this building hosts the innovative projects of the whole region. This centralized approach interested the delegation, the Bretagne's Region being used to spread the incubators on the whole territory.

The last part of the stay was about forging links with Sailing Aarhus, the association in charge of growing Sailing activities. Thomas Capitani and Finn Lyck presented the project of international training center, whereas the french delegation described their projects in Bretagne. Some other topics were on the agenda, such as the business model of the association, the strategy developed to attract world-known competitions, as well as a range of opportunities to cooperate.

The next Yacht Racing Forum will take place in Lorient (Bretagne).
