Within the INVALIS project on 23 of May 2019 took place the 2nd stakeholder meeting in  Bucharest, at Hilton Hotel. 


The main discussions were structured in such a way as to underline both the objective of the  INTERREG program and the project itself. 


The main topics discussed:
- presentation of the INTERREG EUROPE program;
- presentation of the INVALIS project - Protecting European biodiversity against invasive alien 
species;
- discussions on the current state of concern regarding barriers related to the improvement of
regional development, policies in the field of protection and development of the natural heritage
in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region
- debate session: Current situation and future perspectives on barriers related to cooperation
between public authorities and local actors directly interested in addressing the challenges
associated with invasive alien species in the Bucharest-Ilfov Region:
- measures currently being carried out for the identification and control of invasive species in the
Bucharest-Ilfov Region
- programmatic documents, national and European regulatory legislative framework;


The event brought together 20 participants from public institutions, SMEs, research institutes,
universities and NGOs.


The discussions were very productive and everyone was surprised and pleasantly  impressed of the main topics discussed.
