To celebrate European Mobility Week from 16-22 September to promote sustainable ways to move about in our daily lives, the Southern Regional Assembly is highlighting the benefits of a 10-minute town or city, where community facilities and services can be reached within a 10 minute walk, cycle or bus ride from home.
The Southern Regional Assembly has developed this idea with local authorities in the Southern Region through its 10-minute towns & cities framework for cleaner and better connectivity. Developed through the Assembly’s involvement in the Interreg Europe MATCH UP project into the implementation of the Regional Spatial & Economic Strategy.
