What a collaboration! The project OptiWaMag is nearing completion.
After four years of cooperation we can really say that we are satisfied with the result! The project started in August 2019 when we met in Linköping, Sweden for the project's kick-off.
Already from start a productive group project partners! There have of course been some different obstacles during the projects time-line (Covid for example) but we were set to do our best for the project to continue. And so we did! Different kind of meetings has been planned and accomplished over the years, both regional and interregional, and June 1-2, 2023, it was time to meet in Sweden, and then for the project's Final Conference in Norrköping. A successful hybrid meeting!
The Final Conference started with County Administrative Board (CAB) greeted partners Welcome! Participants from Portugal and Latvia was in Norrköping together with CAB, local stakeholders and participant from Interreg Europe. Participants and Project partners from Greece, Portugal, Hungary and Latvia did also attend the meeting but via Zoom. All together around 74 participants. After a OptiWaMag project overview each partner held presentations about the project results and waste management policy improvements in each region. After presentations the interregional participants and CAB went on a site visit to one of Swedens biggest waste management plants: Häradsudden in Norrköping
Day 2 at the Steering Group had hybrid meeting planning the upcoming last progress report.
