On November 20th 2020, South Muntenia RDA has organized the third online meeting of the SHREC stakeholder group, dedicated to the revision of policies on the transition to a low-carbon economy. The event brought together important actors from the energy sector, business, local and national public administration and academia. The main topics on the agenda were presentation of best practices learned during the two online meetings that have been organised by Swedish and Slovak partners. In this regard, the highest interest subjects were: green hydrogen, biomass, collaboration between academia and SMEs in order to transfer knowledge and enhance the reduction of CO2, increase the consumption of energy from RES and energy efficiency. Also, during the event there were presented the futured planned activities and the Joint Regional Analysis on Policies for the Transition to Low Carbon Energy, elaborated within SHREC project.
Among the participants to this event were representatives of the Oltenia Energetic Complex who were especially interested in the example of best practice presented at the online thematic seminar Slovak energy policies and innovations, organized by the SIEA in October, namely the Strategy on the use of hydrogen as a source of renewable energy. Another topic of interest for participants was the collaboration between academia and business, on the exchange of knowledge in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy. During the discussions, the participants expressed their interest to participate together with South Muntenia RDA team to an international Stakeholder Group meeting during the theme of Green Hydrogen to be debated, since in Romania there is going to be developed the Romanian Hydrogen Hub and New Energetic Technologies and most of the participants are highly interested to develop projects on this subject.
