On Tuesday, May 23, 2023, the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency organised online, through the Zoom platform, the Regional Training Event of the SHREC project, as part of the implementation of the Action Plan and the South Muntenia Learning and Capacity Building Program.

The event was attended by stakeholders of the SHREC project as well as experts in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency in Romania, representatives of local, regional and national public authorities, innovation centers, non-profit organizations, the academic and private environment as well as other interested parties.

In the introduction, the results of the project were disseminated by Daniela Traian, Director of the Development Directorate within the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency and the implementation of the action plan by Adriana Tiliță, Expert within International Affairs & Projects Department.

Afterwards, programs and funding sources were presented, as follows: Programs financed by the Environment Fund Administration - Andreea Damian, Environment Fund Administration; funding sources for pre-investment activities - Gloria Popescu, Project Studies and Financing Department, ISPE – Consulting and Design. Considering the objectives of learning and strengthening the South Muntenia capacity provided in the Action Plan, the participants had the opportunity to learn from Sonia Raetchi- Asist. dr. arch., Project Manager (partner), pRO nZEB Cluster member, results of the Horizon 2020 nZEB Roadshow project.

In the second part of the meeting, business opportunities in the field of photovoltaic systems were analysed - Prof. Dr. Eng. Nicolae Olariu, President of the SunE New Sources of Energy Association and the Role of Energy Communities in the Energy Transition - Vlad Cătună, Climate and Energy Campaign Coordinator and Andrei Crăciun, Energy Communities Campaign Coordinator, both from Greenpeace Romania.

The event also marked the completion of the SHREC project implementation so that the participants were actively involved, through questions related to the topics presented but also through their own contributions relevant to the topic. Also, South Muntenia RDA, through the International Affairs & Projects Department, has received feedback of appreciation related to the implementation of the project, the involvement in achieving the objectives and the communication with the interested actors.
