The SHREC project presents a Regional Analysis on Policies for the Transition to Low Carbon Energy in SHREC countries. The report, prepared by Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency and South Muntenia Regional Development Agency, analyzes the policies and countries' measures taken towards the transition to low carbon energy to reach EU Commission targets.
The report overviews the progress of renewables in Europe, analysis the current state and future of renewable energy. Moreover, it presents the energy-related policies – from Climate and energy package to The Energy Roadmap 2050. The report also highlights and analyzes the key findings of the DGs CLIMA and ENER's survey Europeans' attitude on EU energy policies.
The joint analysis also focuses on national and regional policies and financial instruments related to renewable energy within the SHREC countries. Finally, the report overviews the energy democracy and the EU practice of allowing consumers to actively take part in the clean energy transition.
