On 19th of October, Tuesday (2021), 10:00-14:30 CETSHREC Interreg Europe project's partners, stakeholders & the general public are invited to join the interactive interregional seminar & workshop of the SHREC project – "Urban planning and sustainability taking into consideration the fields of building energetic and environmental engineering".

The seminar and workshop will be moderated by Laima Kauspadiene, Director of Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park.

In this interactive seminar, Lithuanian experts will present & talk about the low carbon society, green energy solutions living in the city, solar energy solutions in the renovation field, wind energy potential and the current R&D activities held on hydrogen in Lithuania.

The presentations will be held by professional Lithuanian experts in various fields:

  • Gintaras Stauskis, Professor of Department of Urban Design, Vilnius Tech University,
  • Haroldas Nausėda, Member of the Board / Director for B2B Clients and Expansion, Ignitis group,
  • Vitas Maciulis, President of Lithuanian Solar Energy Association,
  • Urtė Daškevičiūtė, President of Lithuanian Wind Energy Association,
  • Darius Milčius, Laboratory Chief of Center for Hydrogen Energy Technologies, Lithuania Energy Institute.

Short video movies of the best practices will be shown during the event.

The presentations will be followed by discussions on three main topics:

  • “Energy communities – attracting of civil society to decarbonisation process”,
  • “Wind power plants: development and trends”,
  • “Support schemes for development and employment renewables”.

The seminar will be broadcast live from Vilnius, Lithuania. The event will be broadcast on ZOOM on October 19th (Tuesday) from 10:00-14:30 CET time. Zoom link will be sent to registered participants.
