On the 2nd of September, a stakeholder meeting of the SHREC project was held in Middle Norrland. The stakeholders from the region, as well as researchers from the Mid Sweden University, participated.
During the day, a regional analysis – "Scaling up renewable energy production in Middle Norrland", was presented, showing the surplus of green energy that the region produces, mainly from water, biomass and wind.
The report highlights regional climate objectives, overviews the industrial structures of the Middle Norrland Region, discusses the situation of forestry, wind, sun, geothermal energy and hydrogen situation in Sweden.
The report has an appendix showing the interesting ongoing activities in Middle Norrland – May 2021. Östersund Solar Park, Energy Valley and other projects are described in the appendix.
