On the 17th of November, Piemonte Region showcased the SHREC project at the 5th EUSALP Energy Conference on the Local Energy Communities.
Local Energy Communities are at the forefront of the Energy Transition in Europe and in the Alpine regions. While Member States are in the process of transposing the RESII directive into national laws, several initiatives are being launched to support the creation of local energy communities providing various types of energy services. The conference, organised on the 17th of November, showcased concrete initiatives, such as the SHREC project co-funded by Interreg Europe Program, in Alpine territories and discussed key opportunities and challenges. Piemonte Region highlighted the coordination and support actions under implementation at the regional level in order to promote Renewable Energy Communities.
